Antonio Pappano is Music Director of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London and Chief Conductor of the orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
He works with the world's leading orchestras and opera houses and was on tour with the GMJO for the first time.

David Afkham, winner of the Donatella Flick Conducting Competition 2008, is assistant director of the London Symphony Orchestra at the age of 26 and counts as one of the outstanding talents of his generation. In addition to acting as assistant conductor, he conducted the GUSTAV MAHLER JUGENDORCHESTER as part of the Easter Tour on 11 April 2010 in Lisbon.

The cellist Han-Na Chang first attracted attention in 1994 at the fifth International Rostropovich Cello Competition, where she won first prize at the age of 11. She already has an extraordinary international career to look back on and appears on the world's great stages. In the 2010 Easter Tour she played the Cello Concerto no. 1 by Shostakovich.

Russian bass Mikhail Petrenko is a welcome guest in all the world's great opera houses. For the first concert of the 2010 Easter Tour, he sang the bass part in Shostakovich's 13th Symphony.
